Due to the growth of MAp we are looking to recruit an Asset Manager in to the team. This role offers a unique blend of asset management responsibilities in a substantial operational business as well as traditional corporate finance activities associated with advisory and capital markets. You will work with the broader MAp and Sydney Airport management team to develop and implement strategies to grow MAp unitholder value in consideration of all Sydney Airport shareholders needs. You will also have a significant level of external contact with current and potential investors, business partners and industry specialists.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and critically appraising business cases in support of new strategies
- Leveraging the best practice at each of MAp’s airports and bringing this to bear at Sydney Airport
- Working alongside Sydney Airport management in working groups on particular topics of strategic importance
- In collaboration with the asset management team develop the long-term asset business plan and valuation
- Attendance at the Business Operations Review Group and other senior executive forums
- Developing MAp’s relationship with strategic airline partners and concessionaires and identifying new potential partners
- Keep the fund management team including investor relations and corporate communications abreast of business issues and initiatives
- Analyse the performance of Sydney Airport on a monthly basis and co-ordinate monthly asset management reports for the asset
- Maintain strong relations and close contact with senior management at Sydney Airport
- Meeting with MAp’s investors and analysts and participating in business development activities for the broader Macquarie Capital Funds business
- Presenting at and actively contributing to MAp’s strategy sessions such as the annual MAp conference held in Europe
- Keeping abreast of developments and market trends with respect to the industry, sector and economy
Your background:
- You are likely to have corporate finance experience, or have been involved with strategy development and implementation in a commercial context and have a solid understanding of finance / accounting. CA/ CPA / CFA qualifications an advantage
- You will have around 5-8 years of work experience and may be looking for a change.
- You will need to have a demonstrable track record in delivering measurable change and an outcome focus.
- Relevant sector knowledge not required but an interest in aviation and/or the airport related business is important.
